The TR-ERB model diesel engine, developed by Diesel Engine Defense Industry Inc., which contributes to Turkey’s domestic and national industry goals, has been introduced to sector representatives.
The Diesel Engine Project will be used in a wide range of fields, from defense industry to agriculture. The aim is to develop locally produced engines for the fuel pump and enhance Turkey’s strength in the global industry.
Mechanical engineer Bilal Kaya stated, “This engine has a wide range of applications that can be used in various fields, especially in defense industry, agriculture and construction machinery, maritime, generators, and commercial vehicles. With the advantages of being locally produced, it will attract the attention of the industry not only in terms of cost but also in terms of durability and performance.”
Mechanical Technical Engineer Özcan Güleç emphasized that the produced technology can be easily used for Defense Industry, Agricultural Machinery, Construction Machinery, Generators, Maritime, and Commercial Vehicles.
Prof. Dr. Hasan Köten, a faculty member of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, said, “The engine designed with local resources has strategic importance for critical projects in the defense industry and provides high performance and long life to many equipment used in the civil sector. With these features, it will make a name for itself worldwide.”
The TR-ERB engine stands out as an environmentally friendly technology that maximizes fuel savings and has low emission levels. Additionally, the local production ensures ease and speed in spare parts supply, which allows for a reduction in operational costs and enables users to use the engine without issues for many years.
