The 2025 Tourism Capital Erzurum was brought to Konya with its unique culture and mouth-watering flavors.

In front of the Mevlana Cultural Center of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Erzurum’s culture and regional richness took its place in the stands. Among the mouth-watering flavors are Erzurum’s cağ kebab, kadayıf dolması, and İspir beans, while the stand for prayer beads made of Oltu stone also attracted the interest of the people of Konya. Muammer Yazıcı, the President of the Social Research and Solidarity Foundation Erzurum Branch, stated in his speech, “We are trying to promote the food and drink, and cultural activities of our Konya. Therefore, we will showcase a variety of products here, from cağ kebab to kadayıf dolması, from Erzurum beans to Oltu stone prayer beads. We invite all Konya citizens and Erzurumians to visit and evaluate the Erzurum stands located next to the Mevlana Cultural Center.”

Ali Güler, who won the kadayıf eating competition in which visitors participated, was awarded a hand-engraved prayer bead made of Oltu stone.

At the Erzurum Local Products Cağ Kebab and Culture Festival, dozens of local flavors such as Erzurum’s famous cağ kebab, Erzurum kadayıf dolması, İspir beans, göğermiş çeçil cheese, Erzurum honey, and butter will be showcased at the stands. Famous artists such as Mustafa Yıldızdoğan will also perform concerts at the festival. The Erzurum festival, featuring live performances by Erzurum prayer bead masters, will showcase Oltu stone prayer beads, and prayer bead master Muhammet Ağırman stated that they are waiting for all prayer bead enthusiasts from Konya.

The festival, organized by the Erzurum associations in Konya and supported by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality and Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, will continue in the open area of the Mevlana Cultural Center until the evening of October 20, Sunday.
