The ‘Local Culture, Art, and Craft Days’ events organized by Kütahya Municipality as part of cultural and artistic activities have begun.

The event area, where traditional handicrafts are displayed, set up in front of the municipality service building, received great interest from art-loving citizens. Local artists and artisans from Kütahya showcased their handcrafted works that reflect the culture and art of the city at the stands. Throughout the event, many works were exhibited at the stands, ranging from traditional handicrafts to tile and ceramic works. Citizens showed great interest in these products, while artists had the opportunity to promote the products they created through their craftsmanship.

“We will make this event traditional”

In his opening speech, Mayor Eyüp Kahveci emphasized that Kütahya is a city of culture and art, stating, “In every corner of our homeland, there is a workshop, an art institution, or a production center that works and produces in the name of culture and art. One of the important duties of local governments is to strengthen the city’s infrastructure, as well as to produce projects aimed at employment and to support the individuals and institutions that work in the field of culture and art. We will continue these efforts without interruption from now on. If fate allows, we will repeat this event we have gathered for today every year, making it a tradition.”

Mayor Kahveci visited the stands one by one after his opening speech, engaging in sincere conversations with both our artists and citizens.

At the event, folk dances displayed in traditional costumes, colorful activities, and taste stands provided enjoyable and flavorful moments for the citizens participating in the event.
