The best in sports chose BUÜ.

The Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) has published the preference rankings of the Faculty of Sports Sciences according to the 2024 YKS scores. Among the faculties preferred with the highest scores in programs, Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) Faculty of Sports Sciences stood at the top in Turkey.

BUÜ Faculty of Sports Sciences continues to raise its success bar every year. In recent years, the Faculty of Sports Sciences has been among the top 5 most preferred faculties in Turkey, and the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching was the most preferred department with the highest score. The Coaching Department of the faculty also achieved significant success by placing in the top eight.

Qualified education brings success

Providing information that they are preparing to celebrate their 50th anniversary with the new academic year, BUÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz emphasized that they spread quality education throughout the university. Stating that the number of programs receiving international accreditation has exceeded 20, Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz said, “In line with our quality efforts at our university, we are raising the bar of our education-teaching and scientific studies higher every day. With the vision of a research university, we are trying to provide the best education to our students while simultaneously increasing the number of our scientific activities. Sports Sciences is one of the faculties where we carry out significant actions in this regard. As a result of our educational efforts, athlete supports, and the activities of our academics, we have become one of the most preferred faculties. Of course, our academic staff plays a very significant role in this success. I would like to congratulate each of them from the heart. I genuinely believe that our rise will continue.”

Prof. Dr. Ramiz Arabacı, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, also stated that they are extremely pleased with their current position, saying, “We have a good academic staff. We always strive to give the best to our students in the Departments of Physical Education and Sports Teaching and Coaching. Our students see the effort and sincerity here, and we achieve great successes in various fields. We have many students ranging from Olympic champions to those who have won European and Turkish championships. We are proud of them. In order to be worthy of our young people, we continue to develop ourselves. We carry out our work in this way. Young people who see our success want to receive education in this faculty. Being the faculty preferred with the highest scores in Turkey makes us proud. However, our responsibilities also increase. We will work harder to be worthy of this and to reinforce our success.”
