The Western Mediterranean Development Agency conducted a training on “E-Commerce (Marketplace Sales) and Micro Export in the Cosmetics and Medicinal-Aromatic Plants Sector,” aimed at contributing to the digital transformation processes of the regional economy in line with the vision of the Ministry of Industry and Technology’s Local Development Initiative.

In the training held at the BAKA General Secretariat located in the Isparta Economy Campus, 25 entrepreneurs, primarily from Isparta province, participated in the training related to the relevant sectors. The training aimed to accelerate the integration of local producers into digital marketplaces and global markets, sharing many important technical insights regarding micro-export and e-commerce processes.

Trainer Dursun Ağmaz provided comprehensive information to entrepreneurs on micro-export and digital marketing strategies. He conveyed detailed information especially on the ways to open up to global markets, low-cost export methods, and the key points for success on digital platforms. Ağmaz stated, “We believe that our participants will be more effective in global markets by integrating this information into their enterprises.”

Entrepreneurs who participated in the E-Commerce (Marketplace Sales) and Micro Export Training in the Cosmetics and Medicinal-Aromatic Plants Sector indicated that the training would greatly contribute to their businesses. Kaan Toprak Demir, one of the participating entrepreneurs, said, “Thanks to this training, we learned the intricacies of selling on digital marketplaces. We believe that micro-export could be an important strategy for growing our business.” Demir also expressed his thoughts by saying, “In addition to micro-export, this was a complementary training for filling the gaps in our current e-commerce operations.”

At the end of the training, it is expected that participants will be able to integrate more quickly into the reshaping commercial practices in the digitalizing world and open their local production to different markets.
