The Erzincan ACAR Youth Club, composed of volunteer students under EBYÜ, has reached the final stage of establishing the ACAR Search and Rescue Youth and Education Association.
The founding president, Ferhat Kılıçlı, stated that the work on the statute and management has been completed and that Mehmet Ayaydın has been elected as the vice president and is also a sponsor.
Kılıçlı, who indicated that they would work with a strong team to provide training for disasters and emergencies and to train volunteer individuals, also provided information about the statute. He mentioned that as the ACAR Search and Rescue Youth and Education Association, they aim to contribute to the formation of a forward-thinking youth by continuing their efforts to make young people more active in areas such as education, sports, culture, and projects, and to enable them to express their ideas without fear or hesitation.
Kılıçlı said, “Our association was established to support search and rescue, first aid, and the necessary actions to be taken after disasters such as earthquakes, floods, fires, and other natural disasters that may occur across the country, to operate in coordination with relevant institutions based on volunteerism, to ensure the provision of first aid and search and rescue training. It aims to provide more conscious and educated interventions after natural disasters across the country and to organize activities, as well as to support the acquisition of tools and equipment to be used in search and rescue operations.”
The ACAR Search and Rescue Youth and Education Association, with its statute completed, will hold a general assembly in the coming days.
