AK Party Ağrı Provincial Chairman resigns: “Our conscience is clear, our forehead is high”

AK Party Ağrı Provincial Chairman Orhan Güngör announced that he has resigned from his position as provincial chairman, which he has held since January 26, 2023.
Orhan Güngör stated in a written statement, “The AK Party has fallen in love with its nation, has taken action to build the future without severing ties with the past, has always heard the cries of the oppressed and rushed to their aid, and with the awareness derived from history, has set its targets not only for 2023 but also for 2053 and 2071. It has started to move under the leadership of a hardworking, courageous, self-confident, concerned, and devoted leader. It is a privilege that not everyone will experience to witness the transformation Turkey has undergone over approximately twenty-two years. Although our nation is aware of this transformation, those who cannot accept Turkey’s strong state continue their attitudes against our President both internally and externally. In the face of the West’s and the extensions within our country’s hostility towards Turkey and Islam, our duty is to not leave our President alone in this sacred struggle. Indeed, our President has always earned the favor of the nation. Thanks to the initiatives carried out in the last twenty-two years, our country is confidently progressing towards becoming the largest in the world. The national defense systems realized with our country’s own capabilities, the domestic car, and the struggles for the Blue Homeland have not only gained the appreciation of our nation and our friends but have also increased the fears of our enemies. The revolutions in education, communication, transportation, agriculture, industry, and energy have solved our country’s infrastructure problems. This development, which does not neglect our spiritual world such as the protection of the family institution, the preservation of our ancestors’ heritage, and the revival of Hagia Sophia, undoubtedly shows that this century will be the Century of Turkey. I am leaving my position as AK Party Ağrı Provincial Chairman, which I have been running with great excitement since January 26, 2023, with the approval of our Central Headquarters and our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for the upcoming elections, which is the first and perhaps the most important turning point of the Century of Turkey. I would like to specifically state that during my tenure, we remained clean, worked cleanly, did not get dirty, and stood firm without allowing any pollution. Our forehead is clear, and our conscience is at ease. We have dedicated all our efforts to the success of our party. I express my gratitude to everyone who trusted me and supported me during my tenure, especially our President, our General Chairman Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our Organization Chairman Mr. Erkan Kandemir, our Eastern Anatolia Regional Coordinators Mr. Metin Bulut, Mr. Mehmet Şükrü Erdinç, and our provincial coordinator Mr. Emrullah Gür. I also consider it my duty to thank our MP Ms. Ruken Şahin Kilerci, who did not spare her support during this process.”
