The International 1st Pamukkale Granfondo Bicycle Road Races, held for the first time in the White Paradise Pamukkale, have concluded. At the end of the races, in which 452 athletes from 8 countries competed in different age categories, awards were presented at a ceremony held in Kocaçukur.

The first International 1st Pamukkale Granfondo Road Cycling Races, held for the first time in the White Paradise Pamukkale, have concluded. At the awards ceremony held in Kocaçukur, medals were presented to the winners of the races in which 452 athletes from 8 countries competed in different age categories.

Pamukkale, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list, hosted another international sports organization. The 1st Pamukkale International Granfondo Road Cycling Races, organized under the auspices of the Denizli Governorship and coordinated by the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, started on Sunday, September 15 at 08:00 with the waving of the checkered flag by Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Ömer İlman next to the travertines of the white paradise Pamukkale. It was announced that 452 athletes registered from 8 countries for the races, which received sponsorship support from many institutions and organizations, and along with licensed and unlicensed athletes, many cycling enthusiasts of all ages, both local and foreign, had the opportunity to participate in the organization by bringing their bicycles. The races, which took place between Pamukkale, Üzerlik, Salihağa, Eskihisar, Akhan, and Pınarkent, were set as a Short Course of 54 km and a Long Course of 84 km.

At the end of the competitions, which started at the foot of the magnificent beauty of Pamukkale Travertines and featured exciting contests, awards were presented to the winning athletes at a ceremony held in Kocaçukur by Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun, Deputy Governor Kenan Eskin, Provincial Police Chief Yavuz Sağdıç, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Hıdır Ayçiçek, Merkezefendi District Governor Abdullah Demir, Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Ömer İlman, and Ayşe Sarıkaya, the Director of the Metropolitan Municipality Sports Department, along with officials from the sponsoring organizations.

Denizli Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Ömer İlman, who hosted the organization, stated that the International Pamukkale Granfondo Road Cycling Races, which took place for the first time this year, will continue in the coming years, congratulating all the athletes who achieved success. İlman noted that they are making steps towards making Denizli a brand city in sports tourism with the sports organizations that took place and thanked all the institutions and organizations that contributed.
