Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar visited the Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, making an important contact for the future of sports in Sakarya. In his statement, Alemdar said, “We will work to fully embody Sakarya’s identity as a place that raises successful athletes. We have started our efforts to provide modern sports facilities to our districts. We know the importance of facility development. Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar met with Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak. During the meeting, where sports investments aimed to be brought to the city and the ministry’s activities in Sakarya were discussed, Mayor Alemdar stated that they would take decisive steps to strengthen the city’s sports infrastructure. The main topic of the visit was Sakarya’s sports investments, and Mayor Alemdar presented the planned sports investments for the near future to Minister Osman Aşkın Bak and requested support for new projects.

Alemdar emphasized their desire to connect youth with sports in all 16 districts, to popularize sports, and to make Sakarya’s sports identity much stronger. We want to connect our youth with sports in all 16 districts, to strengthen the city’s sports identity by popularizing sports. This city will produce many successful names for Turkey, and we believe that the most important figures in Turkish sports will emerge from this city again.”
