Aurelio: “We didn’t give up until the last second”

Antalyaspor’s Technical Director Mehmet Aurelio commented on the victory against Adana Demirspor, saying, “What was important for us was not to give up until the last moment, until the last second.”

In the 5th week of the Trendyol Super League, Antalyaspor defeated the visiting Adana Demirspor 2-1 with a goal scored in the last minutes. In the press conference held after the match, Antalyaspor’s Technical Director Mehmet Aurelio stated, “I would like to say that we had a tough match against Adana Demirspor this evening, and I had mentioned this before the match. We took the lead 1-0 with Larsson’s wonderful goal. After that, the opponent equalized with a set piece. However, what was important for us was not to give up until the last moment, until the last second. We took the lead 2-1 with Samudio’s header, and we achieved this wonderful victory.”

Evaluating the team’s situation over the past 5 weeks, Aurelio said, “We are aware that we need to be better. I cannot say that I am satisfied with all the results we have obtained so far. Because we lost matches against Beşiktaş and Başakşehir. Frankly, we lost these matches by conceding too many goals, and we need to improve on that.
