After the first stage of the TEKNOFEST Drone Championship, one of the organizational stakeholders of Isparta Municipality, Selçuk Bayraktar, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Turkey Technology Team (T3) Foundation, thanked Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen for his contributions and sent various gifts, including a model of the Akıncı. Mayor Başdeğirmen stated, “I thank Chairman Selçuk for the values he has brought to our country and for his successful work in our defense industry.”

The first stage of the TEKNOFEST Drone Championship, hosted by Isparta, took place on August 24-25 at Atatürk Stadium in collaboration with Isparta Municipality. A total of 32 FPV drone pilots from different provinces fiercely competed for the top positions, and awards were presented to the winners at the end of the competitions. Selçuk Bayraktar expressed his gratitude to Isparta Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen for supporting the first stage of the TEKNOFEST Drone Championship. Mevlüt Yunus Kayacan, the T3 Foundation’s Isparta Coordinator, visited Mayor Başdeğirmen and presented the various gifts sent by Selçuk Bayraktar, including a model of the Bayraktar Akıncı, along with a letter of thanks. In his thank-you letter, Bayraktar stated, “I wish you success in the work you are doing for our beautiful Isparta, the land of roses. I extend my warmest greetings to the hospitable and hardworking people of our rose-scented city.”

Mevlüt Yunus Kayacan, who delivered the thank-you letter from Selçuk Bayraktar and the various gifts, stated that they completed the first stage of the TEKNOFEST Drone Championship in Isparta with great success on August 24-25. Kayacan said, “After the TEKNOFEST Drone Championship, our Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar conveyed his thanks to you and our municipality in your presence and presented you with various gifts. Thank you for accepting us, Mr. Mayor.”

Expressing his pleasure from the visit and thanking Selçuk Bayraktar, Mayor Başdeğirmen said, “He honored us. Mr. Bayraktar sent us models of our successful works in the defense industry, which we have developed locally and nationally, along with a thank-you letter. I am very happy about that. The drone championship held with a large participation on August 24-25 greatly impressed us and was concluded successfully. Very beautiful competitions emerged. I would like to thank all participants once again. We were also very pleased that our friend who came in first here could advance to a higher level from Isparta. I verbally conveyed to Mr. Selçuk through my friends that we hope to have a much different and larger TEKNOFEST event in Isparta next year. He kindly indicated that he found our proposal appropriate and stated that different events will be organized next year. I would like to reiterate my thanks to Mr. Selçuk for the beautiful values he has brought to our country and for his successful works in our defense industry. May God open his path and grant him the opportunity to provide more beautiful services to our country. These efforts move us, honor us. I also thank you for your kind visits.”
