Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated, “We have imposed a restriction on access to Instagram. What did we really lose in 9 days? Or who was harmed? Of course, some of our people, especially those engaged in trade, were harmed, but we really need to use it correctly. We are never in a prohibitionist mindset, but our country has sensitivities, laws, and rules. We must protect and uphold them together.”

Minister Uraloğlu participated in the “Human Rights Training Camp” organized by the Human Rights Presidency of the AK Party General Center in Kartepe district of Kocaeli. After meeting with the youth along with the President of the World Ethnosport Confederation Bilal Erdoğan, Uraloğlu made evaluations on a series of topics.

“As a nation, we stand firmly behind our President until the end”

Speaking at the program, Minister Uraloğlu said, “Today we are here without any security concerns, but I must mention this as well. Today, our brothers in Palestine, in Gaza, live every moment, every second in fear of death. Our children, our brothers, our women, our elderly are unfortunately being killed. The whole world and leading countries are not just watching, they are unfortunately supporting this. If there is anyone who is making great efforts, it is our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. We are closely witnessing this. May God bless him. He strives to be at the right point. We, as a nation, stand firmly behind our President until the end.”

“They calculate how Muslims’ freedoms will be restricted or support them”

Emphasizing that freedoms are valuable for everyone, Minister Uraloğlu said, “The independence of countries can actually be evaluated as a bit of freedom of travel. Transportation is needed for travel. We have our duties. We are fulfilling them. Our brothers under the age of 30 have been born and raised with everything that exists in Turkey. They do not know much about the past. They may think, ‘These have always existed. We will never lose them,’ but that is absolutely not the case. If you look today, they go to a martyr’s funeral to pay condolences, read Yasin there, and on the other side, they calculate how to restrict the freedoms of Muslims or support them. I do not want you to think we will never lose these freedoms. Some events we experience can show us this. We will protect our freedoms together.”

“We have increased 6,100 kilometers of divided roads to 29,500 kilometers”

Giving information to the youth about the works of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Minister Uraloğlu said, “We have done a lot of work. We have increased 6,100 kilometers of divided roads to 29,500 kilometers. More than 4 times. We have done more work than the entire history of the Republic. If we have increased our national income to around 13,000 dollars, there is a great contribution from transportation investments. May God bless our President; he has given us a lot of opportunities. We have strived to realize them. Transportation investments have saved us time and cost.”

“We are never in a prohibitionist mindset”

Touching on the access restriction imposed on Instagram recently, Minister Uraloğlu stated, “We have imposed a restriction on access to Instagram. What did we really lose in 9 days? Or who was harmed? Of course, some of our people, especially those engaged in trade, were harmed, but we really need to use it correctly. We are never in a prohibitionist mindset, but our society has sensitivities, laws, and rules. We must protect and uphold them together.”
