Pointing to the importance of the factories in the OSB for Isparta, Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen emphasized that every product produced and sold in the region is very valuable, recalling that meetings have been held in the OSB before and stressing that these meetings have been very beneficial. Stating that they work for the further development and beautification of Isparta through the meetings they organize and engage in mutual consultations, Mayor Başdeğirmen said, “There were some needs in our previous meetings. We have worked on the infrastructure of this place.”
Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen mentioned that last week, the opening of three facilities was carried out with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, saying, “These make us extremely happy,” while listening to the requests and suggestions of the businessmen at the meeting. Evaluating the businessmen’s request for the improvement of the road passing through the Koçtepe village area, which will further shorten the distance between the OSB and the city center, Mayor Başdeğirmen stated that they had previously carried out asphalt work on a 1 km road in the mentioned road. Regarding the road expected to shorten transportation to the city center by approximately 10 km, Başdeğirmen instructed the relevant department heads to conduct the necessary inspections for the improvement and widening of the road.
A businessman mentioned that the municipality has established solar energy power plants, which is gratifying, and expressed their desire to set up solar energy systems on the roofs of their industrial enterprises to minimize expenses and increase their competitive power. However, he stated that they could not receive a positive response due to the quota being full and conveyed a request to Mayor Başdeğirmen for intervention in this matter. Mayor Başdeğirmen stated that he would discuss the issue with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, indicating that they would request the establishment of a transformer discount center in the region and that this matter could also be resolved by combining it with the second organized industrial zone to be established.
Marble operators also stated that they have land requests for the storage of their waste, while Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen mentioned that they are working on this issue. Mayor Başdeğirmen received information from the relevant department head about the latest status of the matter. You are finding solutions. We are thankful for your presence. We have seen how much you fought during the earthquake in Hatay. You are present throughout Turkey. The solar energy power plant was our biggest problem, and we thank you for your efforts and initiatives on this matter. Your municipality is also helping us in terms of finding business partners for our enterprises. We know how hard you work for Isparta.”
