The extraordinary general assembly meeting of Alaçatıspor Club was held today at the Alaçatı 15 September Stadium. In the first meeting, a majority was achieved, and in the election held with a single list, Ozan Gençalp was elected as Club President, while Uğur Özen, Barış Koparal, Eren Ölmezer, Abdullah Tınaz, Ali Eren Buharalı, Samican Sezginer, Mertcan Belkıran, Muhammed Kılıç, Atahan Solak, Bekir Budin, Mehmet Metin, Burak Önal, and Erdal Özyıldız were elected as board members.
In a statement after the general assembly meeting, Club President Ozan Gençalp emphasized that they have formed a strong board of directors, stating, “I would like to thank all the members of Alaçatıspor Club who attended our extraordinary general assembly meeting and ensured a majority in the first meeting. We have shown everyone how big a community Alaçatıspor Club is.”
“We will open basketball, volleyball, tennis, and water sports branches”
President Gençalp, who also announced the goals for the new term, said, “We are starting the 2024-2025 season with new projects. We will do everything we can for the Alaçatıspor Club and our large community. We will turn Alaçatıspor Club into a real sports club with our infrastructure and the new branches we will open. We have 4 branches that we plan to open as soon as possible. We will open basketball, volleyball, tennis, and water sports branches. There will be a wide range in the water sports branch. We have career and national athletes emerging from Alaçatı. We will bring them to our Alaçatıspor Club.”

Expressing that they will attach great importance to the infrastructure in the new term, Gençalp stated, “We will enable the children of Alaçatı to engage in sports. We will further increase the brand value of Alaçatıspor, which is already high. Alaçatıspor has always had its ambitions. As we run towards our 100th year, our goal will be to bring our children from the infrastructure to our A team.”
“Our A team will be a competitive team”
Expressing that they will establish a competitive A team as they start the 2024-2025 season, Gençalp said, “We will bring talented athletes not only from Alaçatı but also from the peninsula to Alaçatıspor. Currently, we have 13 young athletes in our A team. We will keep them in our squad. Our A team will be a competitive team. Our goal is of course to move up to a higher league. But we also want to take Alaçatıspor to better places with different branches.”
