UEDAŞ Search and Rescue Team received AFAD accreditation.

The UEDAŞ Search and Rescue Team successfully passed the accreditation exam necessary to operate within the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management System in accordance with the accreditation system initiated by AFAD.

Established in 2021, setting a precedent in the electricity distribution sector, the Uludağ Electricity Distribution Inc. (UEDAŞ) Search and Rescue Team actively participated in the February 6 earthquake, touching the lives of many people. In addition to completing their training flawlessly, the UEDAŞ Search and Rescue Team, equipped with advanced gear, has become ready to serve whenever and wherever needed, both domestically and abroad. With its 33 volunteers, the UEDAŞ Search and Rescue Team successfully passed the AFAD Accreditation exam, proving its competence and preparedness in disaster and emergency management. This accreditation officially confirmed the team’s professional competence and effectiveness in responding to disasters and emergencies.

UEDAŞ General Manager Gökay Fatih Danacı made statements regarding the accreditation of the UEDAŞ Search and Rescue Team, saying, “Our priority in the electricity distribution sector has always been occupational health and safety. By combining this sensitivity with our understanding of social responsibility, our search and rescue team, which we have established, made us all proud with the extraordinary efforts it displayed during the February 6 earthquake, on its journey based on volunteerism.
