The ‘Gastronomy Festival’, organized for the third time this year under the theme ‘Bursa on My Palate’ to promote the registered flavors of Bursa to the world, began with a parade walk. This year’s festival, held with international participation, will feature a packed program for three days, including concerts, competitions, record attempts, and talks with master chefs. With the festival promoting Bursa’s registered flavors, the heart of gastronomy will beat in Bursa.

Bursa’s rich culinary culture and registered flavors are once again showcased with the Gastronomy Festival. The 3rd Gastronomy Festival, organized this year under the theme ‘Bursa on My Palate’, highlights the city’s potential in gastronomy at Merinos Park. In the market areas named after Bursa’s renowned artists, Müzeyyen Senar and Zeki Müren, visitors will have the opportunity to taste a variety of flavors. In Bursa’s Producing Women Street, women’s associations and cooperatives will showcase their own products. The festival, which includes participants from 7 different countries and 10 different cities, will also feature booths from 17 district municipalities. The ‘Bursa Flavors and Gastronomy Museum’ prepared within the festival will provide participants with a visual feast. In addition to scientific sessions and workshops, colorful competitions will take place during the festival, which will host many contests. Traditions unique to Bursa, such as the chicken buying ritual, will be staged, and local artists Oğuzhan Koç and Fettah Can will perform.

The festival, which aims to leave new tastes on the palates of Bursa residents, started with a parade walk on Cumhuriyet Avenue. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey and his wife Seden Bozbey, Deputy Governor Rıza Gençoğlu, CHP Provincial Chairman Nihat Yeşiltaş, Bursa MPs, district mayors, Metropolitan Municipality bureaucrats, tourism professionals, chefs, and citizens walked from Altıparmak Street to Atatürk Stadium Street. During the walk, Mayor Mustafa Bozbey stated that he believes the festival will make significant contributions to Bursa’s gastronomic life. Mayor Bozbey said, “The festival, held internationally, will show our guests from outside the country and city how rich Bursa’s culinary culture is over three days. I invite all Bursa residents to our festival full of surprises.”

After the parade, Mayor Mustafa Bozbey, his wife Seden Bozbey, and protocol members cut the opening ribbon at Merinos Park, officially starting the festival. Mayor Mustafa Bozbey and his wife Seden Bozbey visited Bursa’s Producing Women Street, the Foreign Sister City booths, and the festival area, tasting local flavors of Bursa and chatting with citizens.
