In Hakkari, the teams from the Yüksekova District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate continue their tagging and vaccination efforts at an altitude of 2000 meters, demonstrating the challenges of walking from mountain to mountain.

As every week, the teams are visiting village by village, and hamlet by hamlet, to be alongside farmers. The teams intervened for tagging and vaccination of livestock in Salkımlı village, which is 37 kilometers away from the district.

While the tagging and vaccination activities are carried out without regard to the terrain, veterinarians also administered smallpox vaccinations to 1,500 small livestock as part of their ‘scheduled vaccination and identification’ efforts in the village.

The Yüksekova District Agriculture and Forestry Director Mehmet Emin Yiğit examined the teams’ challenging work at an altitude of 2000 meters, congratulating them for their efforts and wishing all farmers a prosperous year.

“We will continue to be alongside the farmer”

Yüksekova District Agriculture and Forestry Director Mehmet Emin Yiğit emphasized that they travel from village to village without considering the mountains, stones, and hills to serve the farmers, stating, “We came to Salkımlı village, which is 37 kilometers away from the district. Together with our technical personnel, we are on duty for vaccination and tagging of small and large livestock at an altitude of 2000 meters. There are a total of 1500 small livestock. Our teams are also administering smallpox vaccinations. We inspected the work on-site and wished our team ease. The challenging work continues under all conditions. Hopefully, our efforts will continue without interruption. As the Yüksekova District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate, we will stand by every farmer. We wish all our villages a prosperous year.”
