The TransAnatolia Rally Raid, which takes place for the 14th time in the unique geography of Anatolia where culture, history, and nature intertwine, was held on a 2,200-kilometer route stretching from Mersin to Van.
The 14th TransAnatolia Rally Raid, organized with the contributions of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the General Directorate of Forestry, the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation, and the Antalya Offroad Club, was completed in Van with the support of the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA). The race, which started in Mersin on August 31, passed through the provinces of Mersin, Karaman, Konya, Niğde, Adana, Kayseri, Yozgat, Sivas, Erzincan, Tunceli, Elazığ, Bingöl, Muş, and Bitlis, and ended in Van. Competitors racing in two separate categories, rally and raid, for motorcycles, 4×4 cars, SSVs, quads, and trucks, competed against time in the rally and navigated in the raid category.
This year, competitors from Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, Romania, Belgium, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Japan participated in the TransAnatolia. A total of 71 vehicles, including 36 motorcycles (7 in raid), 3 cars (15 in raid), 5 SSVs, and 1 truck, with 91 competitors participated in the race.
In the challenging weather and road conditions of the 2,200-kilometer routes passing through 15 provincial borders this year, competitors fought fiercely. Prominent factory teams from the motorsports world, including Yamaha, Sherco, and Ducati, were also involved.

In the Castrol Power 1 Motorcycle category, Spanish Lorenzo Sanchez Santolino from the Sherco team came first with a time of 18 hours 47 minutes 58 seconds, while Italian Allessandro Botturi from the Yamaha team finished second in 18 hours 49 minutes 62 seconds, and Italian Matteo Drusiani from the Yamaha team completed the race in third place with 19 hours 28 minutes 11 seconds.
In the car category, the SSV category saw the British and French team of Paul Severin-Delphine Delfino finish first with a time of 20 hours 28 minutes 14 seconds, while the French duo Jean Luc Ceccaldi-Remi Boulanger finished second in 22 hours 10 minutes 23 seconds, and the Japanese and French duo Shinsuke Umeda-Paul Durame finished third in 22 hours 23 minutes 46 seconds.
In the car category, Marian Andreev-Marius Pop from Romania, racing with a Dacia Duster, finished first with a time of 27 hours 16 minutes 29 seconds, while Ahmet Bağce-Uğur Tepe, racing with a Mitsubishi L 200, finished second in 37 hours 36 minutes, and Alican Eriç-Ergün Örentel, racing with a Suzuki Grand Vitara, completed the race in third place with 67 hours 3 minutes 21 seconds.
In the truck category, Italian duo Marino Mutti-Andrea Mazzoleni finished the race with a Mercedes Unimog in 32 hours 49 minutes 47 seconds.
The winner of the Castrol Power1 Rookie Cup was Italian Ludovico Tiziano Flavio Brezzi. The winners of the TransAnatolia Raid Category, which involved navigation, were Deniz Sönmez & Barış Sönmez racing with a Ford Ranger. The second place went to the duo Ahmet Terece & Ulaş Germen, also racing with a Ford Ranger, while the third place was secured by Emre Şen & Volkan Bilgin racing with a Suzuki Jimny.
In the race, the GT Special Cup was won by Deniz Sönmez & Barış Sönmez, while the owner of the Istanbul Portfolio Athlete Support Cup was Muhammet Efe Görür.
