The ceremony at Stade de France was attended by thousands of sports fans, including Tony Estanguet, the President of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics Committee, Andrew Parsons, the President of the International Paralympic Committee, and French President Emmanuel Macron.

During the closing ceremony, the Turkish flag was carried by Umut Ünlü and Kübra Korkut. Para swimmer Umut Ünlü won a gold medal in both the 50-meter freestyle S3 and 200-meter freestyle S3 categories, while Kübra Korkut earned a silver medal in women’s para table tennis S7.

In the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, where the Turkish team broke records, Turkey won a total of 28 medals: 6 gold, 10 silver, and 12 bronze.

China won the most medals in the games

In the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, China finished at the top with a total of 220 medals, including 94 gold, 76 silver, and 50 bronze. The United Kingdom ranked second with a total of 124 medals, including 49 gold, 44 silver, and 31 bronze. The United States earned a total of 105 medals, with 36 gold, 42 silver, and 27 bronze.

At the closing ceremony, the Paralympic flag was handed over to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. Los Angeles will host the 2028 Paralympic Games.
