Tuba Aydağ, who works at Yenice Primary School in the Gercüş district of Batman, painted the school and decorated the walls with drawings, and then painted the ceiling in colorful colors for her students.

The dedicated teacher of Gercüş took the brush in hand shortly before the schools opened to paint the school walls and color them for her students. Sometimes, while she was painting the school, parents and students voluntarily came to help Tuba teacher when they saw her. Both the principal and teacher, Tuba teacher is appreciated by the villagers.

Tuba Ayda, who said she realized her childhood dream without being a teacher, stated, “This is Yenice village in the Gercüş district of Batman province. My name is Tuba Aydağ. I was appointed to this school a year ago. I am originally from here, I am from Hasankeyf district of Batman province. Before I was assigned here, I had some dreams, and I think I have realized some of them. One of them was to beautify my school, to turn my school into a home. In fact, I worked very hard for the children, and I will continue to do so. The main reason for this is to be able to make the children smile, to ensure their happiness. In fact, my entire purpose, the reason I came here, is to paint our school before the schools open. After completing the painting and coloring, I cleaned up. I painted the school alone today, of course, sometimes my students and sometimes my parents come to help. First of all, I would like to thank my students and parents for not leaving me alone when they see me sometimes. I also thank our Gercüş District Governor Mr. Muhammed Öztaş, our Gercüş District National Education Director Şahabettin Konakçı, and our Yenice village Muhtar Hasan Çelik; they have always been my supporters in this matter. Today we finished painting, our school has become even more beautiful, and I am very happy about that. I am doing everything I can and will continue to do so. This will always be entirely for my students,” she said.

Parent Mehmet Soydaş stated, “Tuba teacher, who came to our school last year, does beautiful things for the school because she loves the children very much. She paints the school and colors the walls. May God bless her, she paints the school and draws on the walls. Sometimes when we pass in front of the school and see our teacher painting, we as parents and students occasionally help her voluntarily,” he said.

The students said, “We are very excited because the school will open. Our teacher painted and colored the school for us. She painted the school and decorated everywhere, making our school beautiful. She does everything at school for us, that’s why we love our teacher very much, and we thank her.”
