The Turkish Red Crescent, which has begun its assistance for the new academic year, is supporting 85,000 students with approximately 77 million Turkish Lira in aid.

The Turkish Red Crescent stands by those in need with its aid programs, contributing to tens of thousands of students taking strong steps in their educational lives each year through the preparations it makes within the framework of educational support. The Turkish Red Crescent, which has started its assistance for the new academic year, is supporting 85,000 students with approximately 77 million Turkish Lira in aid. With the support program it has prepared, the Turkish Red Crescent provides various educational support to students through cash assistance, scholarships, stationery supplies, educational materials, online preparation, and vocational courses organized in its centers.

Nearly 77 million Lira in educational support

The Turkish Red Crescent regularly supports students in cities affected by the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, providing cash support through its orphan support program, conducting educational and guidance activities with expert trainers and psychologists, delivering essential materials such as stationery, and meeting technological needs while providing course and educational material support through Turkish Red Crescent 100th Year Libraries. In addition to its special aid program implemented in the earthquake region, the Turkish Red Crescent also supports needy students across the country, providing solutions for the needs of 85,000 students with approximately 77 million Lira in educational assistance.

Regular educational support for orphans in the earthquake region

Since the first moment in the earthquake region, the Turkish Red Crescent has been carrying out aid programs, providing regular educational support through its Orphan Support Program prepared for orphaned and neglected children. After determining the needs, the Turkish Red Crescent regularly provides 2,000 Lira in cash support to 532 children identified, and since the start of the program, it has provided 14.8 million Lira in support to 3,200 orphans and neglected children. The Turkish Red Crescent has prepared 3,000 stationery packages for students in the earthquake region and offers solutions to technological needs in addition to learning support organized according to the educational levels of the children, and organizes vocational courses.

Educational assistance is determined based on need

The Turkish Red Crescent determines its educational assistance throughout the year based on the needs expressed. During the academic year, it implements scholarship and cash assistance programs for students to meet their identified needs. The Turkish Red Crescent delivers stationery and educational material assistance to needy students identified by its branches. Students preparing for high school and university entrance exams are offered opportunities such as topic explanations, tests, and mock exams through online preparation platforms.

Special classes are created for special students

The Turkish Red Crescent is providing ‘Special Education Classes’ in areas where needed for the education of children with autism, Down syndrome, or intellectual disabilities who require more support and care compared to their peers since birth.
