The epicenter of the earthquake, Kahramanmaraş, has been awarded the Ahi Certificate by the Ministry of Trade for providing services to citizens at affordable prices compared to the prices in their sector.
Following the earthquake that occurred on February 6, the Altın Kaşık Home Meals business, which offers consumers affordable prices compared to the prices in its sector, was awarded the Ahi Certificate with the participation of Mehmet Akif Memiş, the Deputy General Manager of Tradesmen, Craftsmen, and Cooperatives.
Mehmet Akif Memiş, the Deputy General Manager of Tradesmen, Craftsmen, and Cooperatives, expressed that tradesman İbrahim Yılmaz reminded them of the Ahi consciousness. He stated, “In our esteemed province of Kahramanmaraş, which has written its name in golden letters in history with the heroism shown during the War of Independence, the local home meals that serve as an example in terms of representing and preserving this culture, have been providing services to consumers at affordable prices compared to the sector’s market prices due to their dedicated efforts since the earthquake disaster that deeply shook our country. On behalf of our Minister, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, I congratulate Mr. İbrahim Yılmaz, the owner of Altın Kaşık Home Meals, for reminding us of the Ahi consciousness among tradesmen and the public with his respectful attitude, which also serves as an example for young families that will bloom anew, and we award him the Ahi tradesman certificate as a token of our appreciation.”
Tradesman İbrahim Yılmaz, who was awarded the Ahi Certificate, stated, “We started this Altın Kaşık Home Meals in 2019, but we had to close it due to the pandemic. When the earthquake occurred, our first branch was destroyed, then we decided to continue serving the earthquake-affected region of Kahramanmaraş by renting this shop from a citizen. We thank our people and our government because we continue to provide better and more careful service regarding our prices and quality.”
