Pelitalan Rural Development Center is becoming a dairy products production center. Yunusemre Mayor Semih Balaban stated that milk products will be sold to the public at cost as part of a project to be carried out in collaboration with Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, and he mentioned that it is aimed to start production shortly.

The Yunusemre Municipality September Council Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Semih Balaban. The meeting, held at the Yunus Emre National Market Event Hall, began with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem. In the meeting, which was held in 2 sessions and discussed 36 items, a proposal regarding the protocol for the joint use of the Pelitalan Rural Development Center with Manisa Metropolitan Municipality was brought to the agenda. Providing information about the item, Mayor Balaban said, “Our Metropolitan Mayor Mr. Ferdi Zeyrek requested us to work together by asking for the Rural Development Center, which is idle in Pelitalan, to produce cheese under the name of dairy farming and sell it to the public at cost. Dairy products will be produced here. We will make this center more functional. I believe it will be a beautiful project.”

Market places entrusted to chamber management again

In the second session of the council, the item regarding the authorization of Mayor Semih Balaban for the market allocation protocol to be made between the municipality and the Traders’ Chamber concerning the market places under municipal responsibility was discussed. Providing information about the item, Municipal Council CHP Group Deputy Chairman Erdinç Yavaşlı stated, “One of the municipal revenues is from market places. In the previous 10-year implementation, market places were given to the chamber management. However, they were later integrated into the municipality and recorded as revenue. We are also entrusting our market places to the Traders’ Chamber, replicating the application made by the previous AK Party administration. Of course, the control will remain with us. We will authorize the mayor regarding this matter.” The item was accepted with votes from CHP, AK Party, and İYİ Party; MHP abstained. Yunusemre City Council President Bektaş Kılınç, who spoke at the council meeting, also provided information about the establishment of neighborhood councils and introduced their management. It was decided that the October council meeting would be held on October 1, Tuesday at 18:00.
