“Every region of the world is ablaze”

In his speech at the end of the concert, Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın stated, “Today is September 1, World Peace Day. However, unfortunately, just next to us, in Gaza, there has been a massacre against innocent people for nearly a year. Nearly 40,000 people have been killed, regardless of whether they are babies, children, or women. This massacre continues before the eyes of the world. Similarly, East Turkistan has been under oppression for years. Recently, in Srebrenica, thousands of innocent people were ruthlessly subjected to genocide. Nowadays, in the Russia-Ukraine war, people continue to die. Every region of the world is ablaze. There is a need for peace worldwide. On this meaningful day, I would like to thank the World Music Orchestra for raising the voice of Osmangazi with peace, love, and brotherhood. I congratulate everyone who contributed to the organization of this beautiful concert.”

After his speech, Mayor Aydın presented plaques of appreciation and flowers to the members of the Osmangazi World Music Orchestra.
