At the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Ankara Health Tourism Federation, Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay was re-elected as the President, renewing trust.

The Extraordinary General Assembly of the Ankara Health Tourism Federation, which is headquartered in Ankara and has representatives in Turkey and other countries, was held with broad participation at the federation’s central address. In the assembly, the current president, Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay, was unanimously nominated for president again.

At the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Ankara Health Tourism Federation, 600 delegates voted, and Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay was re-elected as the President of the Ankara Health Tourism Federation by receiving all votes.

Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay, who was re-elected with renewed trust, thanked all the delegates who voted in the election. Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay stated, “With the cooperation of the embassies of world states in Ankara and with the support and contributions of our government, we will continue our efforts to contribute to health tourism between Turkey and world states with great determination in the upcoming period.”

Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay mentioned that they would start international health tourism conferences in cooperation with the embassies of Arab countries, European countries, African countries, Latin American countries, and Turkic states in Central Asia, with the support and contributions of the Republic of Turkey Government. She stated that they would work as a federation to make Turkey a ‘Brand’ in health tourism and thanked the members who re-elected her as president.

At the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Ankara Health Tourism Federation, it was unanimously decided to continue its membership in the upper organization, the Confederation of Industry and Commerce (SANKON).

During the General Assembly, a new 16-member Board of Directors and Audit Board and a 50-member Health Tourism Academic Board were formed.

Who is Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay?

Born in 1975 in the Pütürge district of Malatya, Aysun Bay completed her primary and secondary education in Malatya, followed by her undergraduate and master’s degrees at Ankara University in 1997. Since 2017, she has been serving as a faculty member in the Department of Medical Biochemistry at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, while also continuing her role as the Team Leader of the Higher Education Quality Board of the Council of Higher Education. In 2018, she was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

In 2018, Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay was appointed as the rector of the newly established Malatya Turgut Özal University by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay has nearly 300 publications, including 117 published in journals indexed by the ISI Index, 34 at international congresses, 36 at national congresses, and 30 in domestic journals, with an H Index of 30.

She has also held founding presidencies of associations for the disabled and women in various civil society organizations and is the Public Relations Officer for the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry in Turkey. Prof. Dr. Bay has served on various committees in the fields of Accreditation at the Council of Higher Education and the Ministry of Health. As the President of the Ankara Health Tourism Federation, her books ‘Health Elixirs from Life’, ‘Life Exists in Nature’, and ‘Searching for Healing in Nature’ have received great acclaim.
