‘KARADENİZBİRLİK is important for the region’

The General Director of Tradesmen, Artisans, and Cooperatives, Taha Enes Şener, emphasized the importance of the Black Sea Oilseed Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union (KARADENİZBİRLİK), stating, “KARADENİZBİRLİK is always working to support farmers and producers. As the Ministry of Commerce, we will continue to support our cooperatives and thus our farmers.”

Taha Enes Şener, the General Director of the Ministry of Commerce for Tradesmen, Artisans, and Cooperatives, along with his accompanying delegation, visited the Havza district of Samsun while conducting inspections, contacts, and field trips in various provinces of Turkey. Şener and his team met with the managers of the Black Sea Oilseed Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union (KARADENİZBİRLİK), whose headquarters is located in Samsun.

General Director Taha Enes Şener, along with Deputy General Director Seçkin Cenkış, Cooperatives Department Head Gözde Ayanoğlu, Samsun Trade Provincial Director Kürşat Turpçu, and Çiğdem Çatalbaş, visited the Havza Oilseed Agricultural Sales Cooperative. Taha Enes Şener and his companions met with the Chairman of the Board of KARADENİZBİRLİK, Necmettin Metin, General Director Ünal Eraslan, Cooperatives Department Head Sedat Ergin, Vice Chairman Fahri Şahin, Minister of Havza Oilseed Agricultural Sales Cooperative Mehmet Tural, board members, and cooperative members there.

Support for Sunflower Production

The delegation inspected the cooperative and received information from the General Director of KARADENİZBİRLİK, Ünal Eraslan. General Director Ünal Eraslan stated that they are always on the side of farmers and producers, saying, “Our support for sunflower producers in our region continues. In this context, we declared the sunflower pre-purchase price as 19,000 lira per ton this year. The announced price is one that will keep our farmers vibrant under market conditions. On the other hand, we continue to work for our farmers with our modern facilities and the resources of our Union.”

Later, the General Director of the Ministry of Commerce for Tradesmen, Artisans, and Cooperatives, Taha Enes Şener, examined the sunflower purchasing activities at the Havza Oilseed Agricultural Sales Cooperative on-site and chatted with cooperative members delivering products there. Şener said, “Today, once again, we saw how important an establishment KARADENİZBİRLİK is for the region. KARADENİZBİRLİK is always working to support farmers and producers. As the Ministry of Commerce, we will continue to support our cooperatives and thus our farmers.”
