Victory Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in Başakşehir.

The 102nd anniversary of the August 30 Victory Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in Başakşehir. After the official ceremonies, there was a great interest from the residents of Başakşehir in the parade and events at the Bahçeşehir Pond.

The celebrations for the 102nd anniversary of the August 30 Victory Day began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Bahçeşehir Ceremony Area. The ceremony was attended by Başakşehir District Governor Cemil Özgür Öneği, Başakşehir Mayor Yasin Kartoğlu, District National Education Director Ahmet Çoşkun, District Mufti Feyyaz İdin, District Youth and Sports Director Hakan Turcan, representatives of associations and political parties, neighborhood muhtars, and many residents of Başakşehir.

After a moment of silence for the martyrs and the playing of the National Anthem, Mayor Kartoğlu received congratulations at the Bahçeşehir Additional Service Building. The excitement of the August 30 Victory Day continued at the Muhsin Ertuğrul Art Center. The next stop of the events was the parade. Residents of Başakşehir gathered in front of the Bahçeşehir Additional Service Building and marched to the event area at Bahçeşehir Pond, singing along with the anthems. Mayor Kartoğlu also joined the march.

“I remember our martyrs with mercy.”

Mayor Kartoğlu emphasized that August 30 is a victory day for our nation, stating, “I remember all our martyrs, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with mercy.” He also thanked all the residents of Başakşehir who participated in such an important program.

At Bahçeşehir Pond, special stage shows were prepared for the residents of Başakşehir. With light shows, a band concert, folk dance performances, and a DJ performance, hundreds of Başakşehir residents celebrated the August 30 Victory Day with enthusiasm.
