Farewell message from Abdullah Avcı

The head coach Abdullah Avcı, who parted ways with Trabzonspor, published a farewell message. Avcı shared the following statements on his social media account: “Today, I need to say goodbye to Trabzonspor, which I love very much, to my players, and to the real Trabzonspor fans who live and breathe football. I would like to thank all the Trabzonspor family, especially our President Mr. Ertuğrul Doğan, who always made me feel at home. I am grateful to them for always standing by what is right and by football. I will always take great pride in having brought the joy of a championship, which this city has longed for, to such a city. No matter what is said from now on, no one (and no unjust criticism, no matter how hurtful) can take this priceless feeling away from me. I bid you farewell, emphasizing two things that will surely be appreciated one day, if not today. The transfers of Pedro, Batagov, Cham, Cihan, and Dragus were executed with a very careful and meticulous understanding, forming the skeleton of this team for the next three years. The current squad has provided 10 players to national teams and is the product of a high-quality organization. Take good care of them; I am aware while writing that current disappointments and early results overshadow the truths, as this is a late harvest. Still, it is my duty to write. Today, I am leaving this beautiful city, and these colors come with me, along with the most beautiful feelings it has given me. Goodbye Trabzon.”
