Victory Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in the Victory Neighborhood on August 30.

On August 30th, the Victory Neighborhood celebrated the August 30 Victory Day with great enthusiasm. Halil Özçoban, the Muhtar (local leader) of the Victory Neighborhood, stated that they created an exciting atmosphere for the people with the special parade and concert where the Muhtar Group sang beautiful songs. He expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the preparation of their special evening.

In the Victory Neighborhood located in Kayapa, a special parade was held for the August 30 Victory Day. The parade was attended by Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir, CHP Nilüfer District President Özgür Şahin, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Vice President Yalçın Işıkyıldız, Nilüfer Muhtarlar Association President Recep Bayraktar, Muhtar Halil Özçoban, many invited guests, youth, and residents of the neighborhood. The security was provided by law enforcement, and the parade started from Atlıçayır Boulevard, continuing along Fatih Street, accompanied by a military band playing marches, and reached the market area while singing in unison.

At the stage set up there, Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir and CHP Nilüfer District President Özgür Şahin explained the significance of August 30 Victory Day. Neighborhood Muhtar Halil Özçoban stated, ‘We proudly celebrate the 102nd anniversary of this blessed day when our heroic nation’s epic struggle against the invading forces began on May 19, 1919, and culminated in a glorious victory on August 30, 1922. May the 102nd anniversary of the August 30 Victory, which crowned our independence struggle and is a significant turning point in our glorious history, be blessed. I thank everyone who contributed to the preparation of our special evening.’ After that, the Muhtar Group took the stage and energized the crowd with beautiful songs, receiving great applause.
