The blood donation project started in Kayseri.

The blood donation project organized by the philanthropist Necati Uçar in 15 different provinces took place in Kayseri under the leadership of Melikgazi Municipality and Turkish Red Crescent.

Visiting the blood donation tents set up in Cumhuriyet Square, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu highlighted the importance of this vital project by visiting citizens who donated blood. He emphasized the significance of supporting social responsibility projects and raising awareness for blood donation and stem cell treatment. Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated, “We are in the city center at Cumhuriyet Square. There is an important event continuing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Thanks to our philanthropist Necati Uçar’s support, blood donation is being conducted here under the leadership of Melikgazi Municipality and Turkish Red Crescent. At the same time, a tube of blood is taken for stem cell treatment. With blood donations, support will be provided to patients in need of blood. The blood samples taken for stem cell treatment will also identify potential donors for leukemia patients. Our philanthropist Necati Uçar, who operates in the toy industry and lives in Istanbul, is supporting this important campaign. We are giving toys to citizens who donate blood and also providing food, drinks, and desserts. We thank our philanthropist Necati Uçar, Mr. Yılmaz, and his team. As Melikgazi Municipality, we are also supporting the campaign. Turkish Red Crescent is performing the blood collection and sample collection for stem cell treatment here. We also thank Turkish Red Crescent. May God not give anyone health problems. Those who have health issues or patients will hopefully be treated collectively in this way. As Melikgazi Municipality, we provide all kinds of support in this process. I wish everyone a speedy recovery. Turkish Red Crescent Kayseri Provincial President Cafer Beydilli, who supported the project together with Melikgazi Municipality, stated, “First of all, I would like to thank the people of Kayseri. They have always stood by the Turkish Red Crescent. We will carry out the largest blood donation in Turkey here, God willing. Our project will continue for three days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I would like to thank Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç, and Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu for their support in setting up the blood donation tents in the Melikgazi region. As the Turkish Red Crescent Blood Center, we will collect samples for both blood and stem cell treatment and deliver them to those in need. Donating blood is giving life. Our citizens who donate blood also renew their own blood and contribute to their own health. I would also like to thank our philanthropist Necati Uçar who supports our campaign. Hopefully, this campaign will be very successful. I thank each participant individually,” he said.

Mayor Palancıoğlu stated that the application would last for 3 days and that citizens who wish to donate blood can do so until Sunday evening.
