The Local and Good Agricultural Products Street, established every Thursday on Burç Street in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood by the Kuşadası Municipality to connect local producers and consumers without intermediaries, has been attracting great interest. The market, which sells seasonal products produced by local producers living in the rural neighborhoods of Kuşadası, offers healthy eating opportunities to the city residents at affordable prices.

Since its opening in 2019, the local producer market has become an indispensable stop for those who want to eat natural and healthy food at reasonable prices, and the interest in it continues to grow. The market features seasonal products produced by local producers from the rural neighborhoods of Kuşadası, such as Kirazlı, Caferli, Çınar, and Soğucak, who practice good agricultural methods. There are also local delicacies made by women, ranging from stuffed meatballs to grape leaves, herb pastries to keske and ashura, all of which are in high demand. Animal products such as eggs, honey, and milk, produced through natural methods, are also available at the market. Stalls offering hand-rolled gözleme and bazlama add a special color to the market.

Nagihan Memiş, who resides in Davutlar Neighborhood and sells her own produced honey at the market, expressed her satisfaction with selling her products, stating, “I am pleased with the market. The decline in purchasing power has also reflected in our sales. However, we are still satisfied.”

Zahide Hanım, who has been selling hand-rolled gözleme since the first day the street opened, emphasized the joy of contributing to the household economy, saying, “Our sales are quite good. I thank our Mayor Ömer Günel for providing us with such an opportunity.”
