The noble Turkish Nation, alongside the heroic Turkish army, resurrected with the power drawn from its glorious history against those who aimed to threaten its existence and homeland, and achieved an unprecedented victory in history as a result of a comprehensive struggle for existence 102 years ago today. The Victory of August 30th is dedicated to the Turkish Army as ‘Armed Forces Day.’ The Turkish Armed Forces continue to be the guarantee of our country and the nightmare of our enemies with the strength it derives from its history and nation, modern warfare weapons and equipment, strong and dynamic personnel, high level of training, and determined command staff, in order to ensure our country’s peace and security and contribute to the establishment of lasting peace in our region and the world. Our armed forces, which are among the world’s leading military powers, are always ready to carry out their duties anytime, anywhere, and under any conditions. On this sacred and historic day, we commemorate with mercy our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades, and our martyrs, as well as the veterans who have passed away, and bow respectfully before their memories, expressing our gratitude.”
