As the champion of the Super Amateur League, Fethiye İdman Yurdu will represent Bursa in the Regional Amateur League in the new season, and they look to the future with optimism. Fethiye İdman Yurdu, which has also achieved great success with its youth teams, is entering the 2024-2025 season with big goals. Being one of the leading clubs in Bursa football, Fethiye İdman Yurdu has achieved significant successes this year. With the performance it displayed in the Super Amateur League, Fethiye İdman Yurdu has risen to the Regional Amateur League, and the target bar for the new season has also been raised considerably. In addition to the A team, the red and white club has achieved high-level successes in its youth teams, with U14, U15, U16, U17, and U18 teams qualifying for the Turkish championships. The Bursa club, which has over 400 students in its Football Schools, has almost turned into a player factory. In a statement, the management of Fethiye İdman Yurdu indicated that their successes will continue, saying, “We are putting in a tremendous effort. It really makes us very happy to receive the rewards of this effort in a sporting sense. I also express my gratitude to our players, who sweat under tough conditions and lead us from success to success, especially our head coach and coaches.”
5 athletes were given to Bursaspor
The announcement made by the club management, whose goal is to win the championship in the 2024-2025 football season in the Bal League, stated: “Our club, which participated in the Turkish Championship, has been the most successful club of the season. These successes do not come easy. Of course, behind these teams are a good president and board of directors, a very good technical team on the field, responsible coaches for each group team, their assistants, goalkeeper coaches, masseurs, equipment managers, and club personnel, all of whom contribute to a planned journey that has been progressing step by step leading to successive successes. As a result of the success in the youth teams, many clubs have shown interest in our athletes. We provided five athletes to Bursaspor, one to Altınordu, two to Alanyaspor, and five players to Bursa Academy teams. Currently, there are many players with roots in Fethiye who are playing in the professional and amateur leagues in Turkey. To meet the club’s income and expenses during the season, donations from executives, advertising revenues, jersey sponsors, donations from businessmen, rental income, revenue from store sales, and amounts from player sales, in addition to significant amounts coming from the football school, are utilized.
The goal is to rise to the 3rd League
The statement continued: “During the establishment phase of our club, we have been operating in a facility with a regulation football field, a carpet field, an indoor volleyball court, and walking paths, which was built by the Metropolitan Municipality in 2012 on our lands referred to as mira. Our team has reached the Bal League, and to modernize the facility, where previously there were no accommodations for incoming athletes, we now have 20 air-conditioned, bathroom-equipped, and television-equipped rooms, rest areas, dining halls, and rooms for our coaches and board of directors to hold meetings, as well as a fully equipped masseur’s room, laundry room, and an area for playing foot volleyball. In the future, we aim to create an additional guest stand and expand the existing stand to increase the capacity for watching matches. For the first time among amateur teams in Bursa, we have opened a store to sell the club’s merchandise such as jerseys, scarves, and mugs. Under the presidency of Abdullah Aksoy, our club has quickly achieved the highest successes with a strong management team, becoming a frequently mentioned group in Bursa on every platform. In the 2024-2025 football season, the goal in the Bal League is to become champions and rise to the 3rd League. If we can achieve this, we will enable our strong infrastructures to enter the Academy League, allowing our children to better plan their football futures. When we step into the Academy League, we aim to strengthen our existing infrastructure and blend it with the examples of role model clubs to turn it into a factory that produces players, contributing to Turkish football. Our sole objective is to increase the number of our football schools and reach every athlete individually.
