The first stage of the earthquake drill, which will take place in 11 provinces including Erzincan, started at 00:17 and will last for 24 hours in stages. The drill was almost indistinguishable from reality.

In Erzincan, the first phase of the Bingöl Regional Level Earthquake Drill was conducted. Before the Bingöl Regional Level Earthquake Drill to be held in Erzincan, a notification was made by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) yesterday evening, asking citizens not to panic or become alarmed due to emergency warnings. At 00:17, the drill commenced. According to the scenario, a 7.5 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Karlıova district of Bingöl affected a total of 11 provinces, including Erzincan, Elazığ, Erzurum, Diyarbakır, Tunceli, Muş, Bitlis, Ağrı, Malatya, and Adıyaman.

In the Erzincan phase of the drill, due to the impact on Tercan district, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority established Provincial and District Disaster Management Centers in coordination with the Governorship and District Governorships, intervening in the affected provinces and districts within the framework of the Turkey Disaster Response Plan.

The drill conducted in the field at night was almost indistinguishable from reality. In Erzincan, the first phase of the Bingöl Regional Level Earthquake Drill was carried out with 147 personnel and 15 vehicles in 23 working groups. The second phase of the earthquake will take place at 09:00.

In the Crisis Center established at the AFAD building, Erzincan Deputy Governor Mehmet Emre Canpolat, AFAD Provincial Director Cengiz Çavuş, and relevant officials monitored and coordinated the drill moment by moment.
