Zero Waste Certificate Informational Meeting at ALTSO

The Basic Level Zero Waste Certificate Information Meeting was held under the auspices of ALTSO. Businesspeople showed great interest in the meeting, which featured Environmental Engineer Aşkın Kellecioğlu as a speaker.

In his opening speech, Eray Erdem, the President of the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO), stated that the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change would carry out inspections regarding the “Basic Level Zero Waste Certificate” in the upcoming period, and that this meeting was organized to inform businesspeople in this context.

Erdem: “We must also think about our children”

Mentioning that all humanity needs to act together to protect the environment, President Erdem said, “We need to think about what kind of world we want to leave for our children, rather than just taking visual measures such as placing separating trash bins around to avoid penalties. The waste that pollutes our seas, rivers, and lands not only threatens natural life but also seriously harms human health. The zero waste approach is of great importance in the fight against climate change. At this point, our greatest responsibility is recycling. We must work together to protect our environment and strive for a more livable world.”

After President Erdem’s speech, Environmental Engineer Aşkın Kellecioğlu gave a presentation. Kellecioğlu communicated the steps for applying for the Zero Waste Regulation and the Basic Level Zero Waste Certificate to the participants and provided detailed information about the Zero Waste Management System. Kellecioğlu also emphasized the importance of such meetings, stating, “I was very pleased to meet with our businesspeople today at ALTSO. I would like to thank our ALTSO President Eray Bey and the board for organizing this meeting.”
