This year, the 3rd Kurtuluş Festival will be held in Altıeylül for 8 days with local dynamics and rich content.

Organized by the Altıeylül Municipality, the Kurtuluş Festival, which will be held for the 3rd time this year, will be celebrated with richer content and more enthusiasm compared to previous years. The festival, which will start on August 30, will conclude on September 6 with the events marking the anniversary of Balıkesir’s liberation from enemy occupation.

The festival that takes the spirit of the Republic to its peak is starting.

With the 3rd Kurtuluş Festival, which will take place between August 30 and September 6, the Altıeylül Municipality is preparing to celebrate the spirit of the Republic in a festive atmosphere in Balıkesir. This year’s festival is planned to proudly and excitedly commemorate the anniversary of Altıeylül’s liberation, bringing all Balıkesir residents together with a series of programs every day.

The spirit of Kuvay-i Milliye is revived with Altıeylül.

Starting on August 30 Victory Day, the festival will revive the spirit of Kuvay-i Milliye. This special event will honor Altıeylül’s heroic past and struggle for independence, reinforcing the will to march powerfully into the future by recalling the achievements of the Republic and following the path of our Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Music and dance will echo in every corner of the city.

The festival will begin on Friday, August 30, at 20:00 with concerts by the Altıeylül Alaturka Turkish Music Group at the Karesi Municipality Sports Toto Facilities and the Altıeylül City Orchestra at Kuvay-i Milliye Square. The city will experience a music-filled evening with performances by Ezgi Abacı and the BBB Orchestra Branch Directorate on the same day. A torchlight parade will present a colorful procession among the city’s symbols, and a band concert will elevate the excitement to its peak.

Unforgettable moments, unforgettable shows.

On Saturday, August 31, folk dance groups and dance troupes will present impressive performances at Kuvay-i Milliye Square. In the evening, music lovers will experience unforgettable moments with the concert of Selin Cömert and the BBB Orchestra Branch Directorate. In the following days of the festival, theater plays, mehteran shows, musical performances, and folk dance displays will satiate the people of Balıkesir with art.

On Sunday, September 1, events will start with a performance by the Balıkesir Mehteran Team and a concert by Onur Yaman, continuing with a special performance by the Victory Theater. That evening, the performances of the Western Stage Dance Group and the Uyghur Arts’ musical “Hey Gidi Günler” will provide the audience with enjoyable moments.

Cultural riches and the magic of rhythm.

On Monday, September 2, a night filled with music will be experienced with the Muğla Fethiye Municipality City Orchestra and the KEHRİBAR concert. Additionally, the cultural riches will be highlighted with the performances of the Manisa Soma Municipality Folk Dance Group and the Victory Theater.

On Tuesday, September 3, the Folk Dance Groups of Edirne and İzmir Çeşme Municipalities will take the stage, and the excitement will continue with the concerts of Dicle Çakır & Yusuf Dede. On the same night, Yusuf Dede’s solo performance will offer the audience an unforgettable musical feast.

On Wednesday, September 4, a night full of rhythm will be experienced with the Balıkesir Rhythm Workshop and the Junior City Orchestra’s concert. With the performance of the Manisa Akhisar Municipality Folk Dance Group and the emotional concert of Ahmet Selçuk İlkan, the meaning and enthusiasm of the festival will deepen.

On Thursday, September 5, the Kuvay-i Milliye Square will offer an unforgettable evening for music lovers with magnificent concerts featuring Osman Çiçek, Gülşah & Baha, and Göksel Doğançay.

On the closing day of the festival, Friday, September 6, the event will begin with the magnificent dance performance of Anadolu Ateşi. The activities will continue with a Mösyo concert and performances by the Pamukçu Bengi Folk Dance Team, concluding with a poetry reading by Sunay Akın and a concert by Ali Altay. This magnificent closing will beautifully reflect the joy of Altıeylül’s liberation.
