Şırnak’s Cizre District National Education Director Şahan İke evaluated the two-year success status of the Cizre Monitoring and Increasing Success in Education (CEBİR) project, which was implemented in the 2022-2023 academic year.
Stating that the projects carried out under the auspices of the Cizre District Governorship and managed by the Cizre District National Education Directorate evaluate the academic success process, Cizre District National Education Director Şahan İke said, “We prepared the projects gathered under the CEBİR umbrella with great dedication. We implemented various sub-projects within the CEBİR project, which we worked on meticulously, such as academic fields, social, cultural, sports, family education, good examples in education, project school of the year, art school of the year, healthy living center of the year, and the most special school of the year.”
Emphasizing that every student is different and naturally the climate and capacity of each school are different, Şahan İke pointed out that the CEBİR project intervened at this point, highlighting that all schools in the district could choose topics where they could express themselves best with the different subject headings it contains. Expressing that the academic aspect of the project, which has been implemented for two years, has also yielded results, İke stated, “Our student Mehmet Şevki, who ranked first in Turkey in the High School Transition Exam (LGS), was placed in one of Turkey’s most prestigious schools, Istanbul Galatasaray High School. We observed an increase in the number of students placed in medical, dental, pharmacy, and law faculties in the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) compared to the previous year. This is encouraging, but it’s not enough because there are no limits in education; we will always strive for better.”
Emphasizing that these projects were carried out with the support of teachers, who are the foundation of the education system, İke said, “Education is a journey, and each student is at a different point on this path. When these students create a project and are active during the learning process, the educational process becomes both instructive and enjoyable for them.”
