Asset GLI Risk and Legal Compliance Coordinator Customs Consultant Barış Çakır evaluated the target set by the Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat to create an export army of 200 thousand people by 2030. Çakır stated that the Export Academy to be established will play a critical role in increasing Turkey’s foreign trade potential.

Barış Çakır, the Asset GLI Risk and Legal Compliance Coordinator Customs Consultant, said, “The cooperation protocol signed between the Ministry of Trade and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) will contribute to the professionalization process in foreign trade by bringing together the strengths of the public, academia, and the private sector. The Export Academy will provide the necessary theoretical and practical training to develop a qualified workforce.”

Barış Çakır emphasized the importance of software and technological developments, stating, “The trainings that the Export Academy will provide in collaboration with the continuous education centers of universities in the fields of software and technology will enhance our country’s strength in global competition. This academy will also provide significant contributions in terms of accessing strategic export markets and producing value-added products.”

Çakır pointed out that the training provided within the Export Academy will cover every stage of foreign trade, saying, “Training sessions conducted by experts on topics such as market analysis, branding, financing support, logistics, and customs services will be held across our country. This will ensure that export processes are managed more professionally.”

Finally, Barış Çakır emphasized the importance of education and collaboration in achieving Turkey’s export targets, stating, “Education is essential at every level. Such collaborations will increase our country’s export power and enable us to become more competitive in global markets.”
