The 31st Traditional Yayla Seki Oil Wrestling, organized by the Seydikemer Municipality, started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem. A total of 980 wrestlers participated in the oil wrestling, including 72 chief wrestlers from various provinces. The matches were competitive, exciting, and intense, providing thrilling moments for the spectators. Hundreds of people from neighboring provinces and districts gathered to watch the wrestling at Zümrüt Çayırı in Seki Village.

The Seki Oil Wrestling was reminiscent of the Historic Kırkpınar Wrestling. In the final for the title of chief wrestler, Yusuf Can Zeybek faced Mustafa Doğan Özkaya. The final match, which was watched with great excitement by the audience, lasted about 20 minutes. Mustafa Doğan Özkaya managed to defeat his opponent Yusuf Can Zeybek with a successful attack. Chief Wrestler Mustafa Doğan Özkaya stated, “I started the season poorly. I think I have improved my situation here in Seki. From now on, I am focusing on the historical Elmalı wrestling. I want to end the season as the chief wrestler there as well.”

In the organization, the wrestling lordship was acquired by businessman Şaban Karaşal for 6 million 48 thousand TL, who was also the lord last year. Seydikemer Mayor Bayram Önder Akdenizli stated, “Our wrestling event has concluded. There was a great turnout. The interest of our citizens was very good. The wrestling was attended by Seydikemer District Governor Yıldız Büyüker, Fethiye District Governor İsmail Hakkı Ertaş, AK Party Muğla MPs, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras, Seydikemer Mayor Bayram Önder Akdenizli, representatives of political parties at the provincial and district levels, muhtars, heads and members of civil society organizations, and many citizens.
