The 30-year asphalt problem in Manisa has been resolved with a single request.

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality has carried out asphalt work in the Yuntdağ region of the Yunusemre district. With this work, the 30-year asphalt problem between Pınarköy and Bergama Bayramcılar Neighborhood has been resolved. The neighborhood headmen, stating that the problem was solved with a request, visited Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek to convey their thanks.

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality carried out 9 kilometers of asphalt work along the route of Bergama Seklik Neighborhood, Yunusemre Sarıahmetli and Pınarlar neighborhoods, and Bergama Bayramcılar Neighborhood. As part of the work, the 30-year asphalt problem between Pınarköy and the Bayramcılar Neighborhood connected to Bergama has also been resolved. After the work, Halil Kırlı, President of the Manisa Metal Craftsmen’s Chamber, Ömer Altındağ, Muhtar of Pelitalan Neighborhood, Aalettin Güçtekin, Muhtar of Bayramcılar connected to Bergama, Hüseyin Sanlı, Muhtar of Pınarköy, Mustafa Ali Savak, Muhtar of Uzunlar, Halil Mezik, Muhtar of Örselli, Davut Arslan, Muhtar of Süngüllü, Mustafa Uslu, Muhtar of Yenice, Müştak Kamavi, Muhtar of Karahüseyinli, and Halil Uğur, Muhtar of Sarıahmetli visited Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Architect Ferdi Zeyrek.

Mayor Zeyrek: “God allowed us to do this”
Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Architect Ferdi Zeyrek stated, “May God let us use it without any accidents. Our team members are very dedicated in this regard. Our aim is to listen to the problems and be a remedy. The region needed such a road. It hasn’t been done for 30-40 years, and God allowed us to do it.”

“We will treat the trust of the people of Manisa as paramount”
Emphasizing that he is aware of the problems of the neighborhoods, President Ferdi Zeyrek said, “We have started to solve the problems. We have villages without internet, and we provide internet services free of charge. We have 147 villages with no water. We are now bringing drinking water. We will strengthen our infrastructure first. It will be easier to build superstructure on it. When there is no telephone infrastructure, internet infrastructure, or water-sewer infrastructure, I would prefer to buy a football player with that money. For me, this is the right of service. We will never abandon this understanding of justice and equality. We will listen to the citizens’ problems on-site and solve them on-site. The people of Manisa trusted us. They entrusted their village, neighborhood, and city to us. We will treat this trust as paramount, and we will spend our 5 years this way.”

“It saved us from great suffering”
Halil Kırlı, President of the Manisa Metal Craftsmen’s Chamber, stated, “For 41 years, we as local people have been requesting a road that is 850 meters belonging to Manisa and 600 meters belonging to İzmir in the triangle of Sarıahmetli, Pınarköy, and Bayramcılar Neighborhood connected to Bergama. I thank everyone who contributed to this road. My President Ferdi did the road that has not been completed for 30-40 years with one statement. He saved us from great suffering. We are grateful to him and thank him.”

The headmen expressed their gratitude
The neighborhood headmen expressed their views, stating that the 30-year problem was solved with a request. Halil Uğur, Muhtar of Sarıahmetli, said, “I am in my 4th term as muhtar. We have submitted petitions for this road since the special administration. We mentioned it once, and with one mention, thanks to God, it was resolved. We thank you very much. Our road was in very poor condition; now it has been asphalted.” Meanwhile, Müştak Kamavi, Muhtar of Karahüseyinli Neighborhood, said, “I thank my President Ferdi for his services regarding the road. I wish him continued success.” Davut Arslan, Muhtar of Süngüllü Neighborhood, Hüseyin Sanlı, Muhtar of Pınarköy, Alaettin Güçtekin, Muhtar of Bergama Bayramcılar Neighborhood, Mustafa Ali Savak, Muhtar of Uzunlar Neighborhood, Ömer Altındağ, Muhtar of Pelitalan Neighborhood, Mustafa Uslu, Muhtar of Yenice Neighborhood, and Halil Mezik, Muhtar of Örselli Neighborhood also thanked Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek for the road service and wished him success in his work.
