In his speeches during the visits, Rector Hacımüftüoğlu emphasized the need for Atatürk University to assume a unifying role, stating that they would make intense efforts to create a working environment where everyone is happy, peaceful, and free from stress. Hacımüftüoğlu said, “Our university should be an institution that integrates with society, where everyone feels like a part of it, not just with its academic achievements. Our doors will be wide open to everyone. We will work to offer all our resources to the service of our country and our nation.”

Rector Hacımüftüoğlu highlighted that strong bonds with all university stakeholders would bring success, stating, “Our aim is to make Atatürk University more than just a center of science; we want it to be an institution that shapes the future of our country. The way to achieve this is to enhance the sense of belonging of everyone who works, studies, and contributes to our university. We believe that as belonging increases, success will naturally follow.”
The discussions also addressed the steps the university will take in social, cultural, and academic areas. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu mentioned that the university would be managed with an understanding that serves the community and develops innovative projects. “Our university will be an attraction center not only for our students and academic staff but also for the entire Erzurum community. In this regard, we have a structure open to all kinds of cooperation and innovation,” he said, emphasizing that the university’s doors are open to all segments of society. He expressed that Atatürk University is an important value not just for Erzurum but for all of Turkey, and thus it is progressing towards being a center of science and culture.
