In the 3rd week of the Trendyol Super League, Corendon Alanyaspor drew 1-1 at home against Göztepe. Speaking at the press conference held after the match, Corendon Alanyaspor head coach Fatih Tekke stated that Alanyaspor played better in the match, saying, “The team that was superior throughout the match was Alanyaspor. In the first half, we had hasty passes in the third zone, and our hurried and incorrect passes disrupted our set play. Our opponent only had a throw-in in the first half, which we had worked hard on, but the goal we conceded was from a throw-in. We started the second half very well. There were many opportunities, and in the last moments of the second half, when we took risks, the opponent naturally had 2-3 counter-attacks. They have quick attacks, and we could have lost like that. However, in general, my players did everything they could in terms of numbers, statistics, and game organization throughout the match. I congratulate them all. Again, we lost 2 points, but if God permits, this team will hopefully start a series. We need to do this. It will increase our confidence. There will be better performances. But so far, in these 3 weeks, I have very few things to say about my players in terms of performance. Therefore, I thank them all for their efforts; we are sad for losing 2 points, but I know we are on the right track. I always say that we have numerical problems regarding the squad. We have positional problems and players we are expecting. I hope they come in a short time, and those who come will be in better shape in the meantime. Therefore, we need a little more time to be much better. For now, we are quite good. We need a little more time to be much better.”
