This year, the 8th International Adana Flavor Festival will be held between October 17-20.

The Coordination and Evaluation Meeting for the 8th International Adana Flavor Festival, themed “Adana with its Roots”, was held under the chairmanship of Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger. The meeting, which took place in the Governor’s Meeting Hall, was attended by Metropolitan Mayor Zeydan Karalar, district mayors, chamber presidents, and other council members.

In the meeting, Governor Köşger announced that the decision was made to hold the International Adana Flavor Festival between October 17-20, instead of the previously planned dates of October 18-20, in order to increase the participation of world-renowned chefs and to organize a more detailed, entertaining, and eventful festival.

During the meeting, where all activities carried out in the preparation process of the festival were discussed in detail, Governor Köşger made a brief evaluation; he stated that Adana is now known as a gastronomic center worldwide. He also mentioned that they are working to turn the region which includes Adana, Mersin, Hatay, Gaziantep, and Kahramanmaraş into a gastronomic valley, and emphasized that they meticulously focus on all details of the festival, making sure not to overlook any aspect.

Governor Köşger expressed that, as in the past 7 years, a beautiful festival will be held in front of the eyes of the entire world this year, and they are collaborating with all institutions and organizations involved in the festival to ensure that everything is perfect.

Governor Köşger indicated that the International Adana Flavor Festival is not just a flavor festival, but a very important and significant step for Adana to become a tourist destination. He noted that through this festival, not only the dishes of Adana but also its history, culture, people, geographical and social structure are introduced to the whole world. He stated that, as every year, many guests from both domestic and international locations will be welcomed this year, inviting all flavor enthusiasts to Adana on October 17-20.
