The Bursa Metropolitan Municipality continues to implement necessary projects to ensure the peace and safety of the public. Similar to the city center, the municipality aims to intervene in fires in the districts in a shorter time to prevent potential loss of life and property. The Orhaneli Fire Station, which will directly serve the four mountainous districts of Orhaneli, Keles, Büyükorhan, and Harmancık, has been opened. The station will operate with 4 vehicles and 18 personnel, prepared for potential fire and disaster situations to serve the mountainous area.
“Intervening in fires in a short time is one of our most important responsibilities”
The opening ceremony was attended by Bursa Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Bozbey, Orhaneli Mayor Ali Osman Tayır, Harmancık Mayor Haşim Ali Arıkan, CHP Orhaneli District Chairman Hakan Durgut, local muhtars, representatives of civil society organizations, and many citizens. He stated, “Moreover, we have a special request from our citizens. We have determined that the fires that have recently occurred in homes or factories are caused by electrical lines. We recommend citizens to seek help from qualified individuals for such needs and to use products certified by TSE. Potential fires not only harm us but also our surroundings.
