428 police candidates who completed their training at the Erzincan Police Vocational Training Center (POMEM) took their first steps into the profession with a graduation ceremony.
The 30th Graduation Ceremony, held in the POMEM gymnasium, started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem. During the ceremony, a plaque was affixed to the tree of life by the top graduate, and success certificates and gifts were presented to the high-achieving students.
Acting Governor Yusuf İzci, in his speech at the ceremony, stated that from this day on, they would work tirelessly day and night for the peace and security of the nation in every corner of Anatolia.
Acting Governor İzci said, “You will get tired, you will be cold, you will lose sleep. You may even miss seeing your own children grow up. However, this profession will provide you with an honorable future and a worthy treasure. On this occasion, I extend our gratitude to your valuable mothers and fathers who raised you and brought you to this point. I also thank the esteemed members of the police force who prepared you for today with their training and discipline, presenting you as brave heroes. I congratulate all of our brothers who are taking their first steps into the profession of policing on this joyful day, and I wish them a healthy and peaceful life together with their families and a successful professional career.”
Erzincan POMEM Deputy Director Yafez Urgancı also congratulated the 428 police candidates who successfully completed their training.
Urgancı emphasized that the graduates would now be steadfast, tireless, and loyal protectors of the Republic of Turkey, stating, “The Erzincan Police Vocational Training Center continues to contribute to our organization by training young policemen who possess self-confidence, are trusted, can approach events objectively, are willing to sacrifice their lives for national and spiritual values, and will serve as examples to society. You are stepping through the graduation door to give a new direction to your life as brave and selfless individuals who take steps for the security and peace of our nation. From this day forward, you will be the steadfast, tireless, and loyal protectors of the Republic of Turkey and the servants of this noble and exalted nation with thousands of years of history. In the face of the existence of divisive groups that create an environment for terrorist organizations, the task that falls upon us is to work selflessly and tirelessly without stopping and to continue the struggle with this determination. Only in this way can we protect the Republic entrusted to us by Atatürk, the indivisible integrity of our country, and its democratic structure.”
Afterward, the 428 police candidates who took their oaths and tossed their caps celebrated their graduation joy with their friends and families.
