In the district, where approximately 10,000 decares are cultivated and over 6,000 tons of grapes are produced annually, the harvest of Cimin grapes started early this year due to above-normal seasonal temperatures.

The Karaerik grape, one of Turkey’s important table grape varieties, is listed as “Registered Geographical Indications” with the registration number 37 dated 13.06.2001 as Cimin grape.
