Bodrum Municipality City Theaters organized a comprehensive casting call to bring new talents to the stage.

The casting for Bodrum Municipality City Theaters took place under the jury of Metin Zakoğlu, the General Art Director-Writer and Actor of Bodrum Municipality City Theaters, Serap Aksoy, the State Opera and Ballet Artist-Actor, Serkan Üstüner, the Faculty Member and Director of the Theater Department at Bahçeşehir University Conservatory, and Adil Sevencan, the Conductor of Bodrum City Orchestra.

In the unique atmosphere of Bodrum, which holds significant importance in Turkey and the world with its history, culture, and nature, aspiring actors showcased their talents in a professional theater environment, sharing their passion and skills for theater on stage. The stage performances, monologues, and improvisational works presented by the candidates were followed with great attention and care by the jury members.

The casting held on August 19 and 20 at the Bodrum Municipality Nurol Cultural Center opened its doors to actors of all ages who are graduates of acting conservatories. With a fair and transparent approach, new faces devoted to the art of theater joined the Bodrum Municipality City Theaters family.

As a result of the auditions, a total of fifteen actors, including ten main actors and five alternates, earned the right to perform at Bodrum Municipality City Theaters. The actors who passed the audition exam include Cansu Tekoluk Çağatay, Gül Yalçınkaya, Manolya Elmasri, Ayşegül Karademir, Kemal Sülo, Evren Canbulat, Ahmet Umut Doğan, M. Çayan Karataş, Serkan Atar, and Mehmet Talha Karabaş, while Sıla Çelik, Öyküm Ayal, Özlem Dila Hür, Furkan Serdar, and Berker Mehmet Korkmaz are in the reserve squad.

The auditions, which were attended by talented actors aiming to be a part of the Bodrum Municipality City Theaters family, not only brought new names to the theater world but also demonstrated how strong the interest in performing arts is in Bodrum.

Bodrum Municipality City Theaters is preparing to meet its audience with four different plays in the 2024-2025 season, alternating four evenings a week at the Bodrum Municipality Nurol Cultural Center and the Herodot Cultural Center. The announcement of the play repertoire and ticket sales will take place on Tuesday, August 27, and the curtain will rise in the first week of October.
