Leukemia – Cancer Diseases awareness training was provided to the metropolitan municipality staff.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality organized a Leukemia-Cancer Disease Awareness Training for its personnel. Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Serdar Öztürk stated, “We are providing services that touch people. We have opened our doors, and we have opened our hearts.”

The training on Leukemia-Cancer Disease Awareness was provided in collaboration with the Human Resources and Training Department of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and the Foundation for Children with Leukemia (LÖSEV). The training program, held in the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Council Hall, was attended by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Serdar Öztürk, Human Resources and Training Department Head Oğuzhan Postallı, LÖSEV officials, and personnel. Emphasizing that Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality carries out many activities in cooperation with Civil Society Organizations and public institutions, Deputy Secretary General Serdar Öztürk expressed that they are experiencing the blessings of these activities. Öztürk underlined that they are providing services that touch people and noted in his speech:

“We are providing services that touch people. Today, we organized a training seminar here in collaboration with our Human Resources Department and the Kayseri LÖSEV Provincial Coordination. I would like to say welcome and express my gratitude for your contributions to this seminar. I also want to convey the greetings of our Mayor, Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, to you.”

Öztürk stated that they are together in an educational activity of a foundation that serves children with leukemia and touches their lives through educational and assistance services in almost every province in Turkey, saying, “We have opened our doors, we have opened our hearts. While we are working with the concern of how we can serve these children or those who have fallen ill, we will also receive information from Mr. Murat, the public relations officer of the Kayseri provincial coordination, regarding the fight against leukemia as a consciousness-raising activity and educational activity.” He emphasized that there is a cure for the disease in question and that LÖSEV will always be there for them. LÖSEV Provincial Coordinator Sibel Kurşun thanked Mayor Büyükkılıç and Deputy Secretary General Serdar Öztürk for the training opportunity, stating, “We wanted to give a seminar about LÖSEV and cancer awareness. Cancer is now a reality in our society; according to a recent study conducted in June, the cancer rate in our country has reached a high figure of 38%. We wanted to provide information about what we are doing in this regard and what we might encounter.”

In the program organized to support children with leukemia and their families in this difficult struggle and to support LÖSEV employees, trainer Murat Gündoğan shared information with the participants to raise awareness about cancer.
