Farmers in Şırnak were informed about the new livestock support model.

The new livestock support model to be implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was explained to farmers during a meeting held in the conference hall of the Şırnak Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, with participation from provincial and district branch managers.

After the meeting organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s Deputy General Director of Livestock, Melihşah Taşkın, he visited farmers who could not attend the meeting to explain the new livestock support model to be implemented by the ministry. During the meeting, detailed information was provided regarding the new livestock support model that will come into effect in 2024. Comprehensive explanations were given to participants about the innovations brought by the model, the incentives to be provided, and the new procedures to be implemented. At the end of the meeting, a Q&A session was held to answer all the questions that participants were curious about.

After the informational meeting, Deputy General Director of Livestock Melikşah Taşkın and the accompanying delegation visited farmers in Şırnak who could not attend the informational meeting. During the visit, discussions were held regarding the effects of the new support model in the field, and the details of the model were conveyed to the producers. This allowed for farmers to be informed about the new model and for any potential questions to be answered on-site.

The informational meeting regarding the new livestock support model, which will be implemented between 2024 and 2026, was attended by Deputy General Director of Livestock Melikşah Taşkın, Provincial Director Oktay Sezgin, branch managers, district directors, heads of producer and breeder unions, farmers, and institutional staff.
