The Cabinet Meeting will be held in Ahlat.

Ahlat Mayor Yavuz Gülmez stated that they will host the summit of the state in Ahlat over the weekend and that, for the first time, the Cabinet Meeting will be held in the district.

Before the events celebrating the 953rd anniversary of the Malazgirt Victory, Ahlat District Governor Batuhan Bingöl and Ahlat Mayor Yavuz Gülmez held a consultation meeting with the heads of associations and representatives of NGOs in the district. Speaking at the meeting held at the Ahlat Public Education Center, Mayor Gülmez said that the Cabinet Meeting would be held in Ahlat for the first time. He emphasized that they came together to prepare for the events in the best way and to host the guests visiting the district without any issues. Gülmez stated, “The Cabinet meeting will hopefully take place in Ahlat on August 25. We must also contribute significantly. Therefore, let’s have a meeting with you to discuss how we can organize this, how we can best host our President and our ministers here, and how we can welcome our guests from all over Turkey and the world in the best way. We wanted to consult and talk with you on this matter. Your opinions and suggestions are important to us.”

Ahlat District Governor Batuhan Bingöl also said, “First of all, we would like to thank all our associations and representatives of civil society organizations for their support in the projects and processes we have undertaken, and for their contributions to the promotion of Ahlat. The work you do is labor-intensive; you are contributing to the development of Ahlat and the unity and solidarity of Ahlat by taking time away from your families and jobs. As our mayor mentioned, this year, unlike previous years, the Cabinet Meeting will be held in Ahlat for the first time. You all strive to host our guests who come to our district in the best way possible. I hope you will show the same sensitivity this year as well. This year, we have been trying to conduct the program together with you. Ahlat NGOs will be able to showcase themselves more fully in terms of ownership of the area this year. Hopefully, we will provide beautiful hospitality. For the first time in Turkish history, a Cabinet Meeting is being held in a district. This is a great honor for the people of Ahlat. I have no doubt that the people of Ahlat will appreciate this and will perform their duties. We expect all our fellow citizens to participate in and take ownership of the events between August 23-25.”
